Welcome to Psalm23Camp.com!

25 Years at Psalm 23 Camp
Psalm 23 Camp, located in the Appalachian Mountains of southern West Virginia, was established in 1985. We are dedicated to providing a place where Christians can experience work mission projects, recreation, and spiritual growth. The pastoral setting in a beautiful valley provides visitors an apportunity to enjoy their time here in a special way. The sheep on the camp/farm along with the sheep herding dogs under direction of the shepherd provide a unique way for Christians to gain biblical insight during their stay. The Servants At Work (SAW) program gives campers hands-on experience at helping others through our Home Service Projects by repairing homes in Monroe and surrounding counties. The camp is available for Christain group retreats when work camps are not scheduled.

25-Year History of Psalm 23 Camp
1985 – Psalm 23 Camp began as “something to do” for young people
o The camp is located on a 300-acre farm owned by Dennis and Glenda
Rowan of Gap Mills, WV
- The camp name, Psalm 23 Camp, was selected because of the Bible’s
frequent reference to sheep, and the fact that sheep production is the
only farm enterprise of the Rowans.
