Q - What type work will we be doing? A - The skills inventory sheets you complete will be of value to the Psalm 23 Camp staff in determining what work you will be doing. We don't send a group to roof a house if no one in the group has had any roofing experience. Examples of work range all the way from cleaning windows to building a new home, but most jobs involve painting and small carpentry jobs that can be completed by your group. Q - What are the meals like? A - Breakfast includes a variety including hot items, fruit and cold cereal. Lunch is packed by each camper. A variety of meat and cheese slices, bread, etc. is provided for these lunches. Cold drinks and a large container of water are also sent out. Dinner consists of hot and cold items including a salad bar and desserts. Q - Does the camp have a store? A - Yes, a few things are available like T-shirts and caps. There are no snacks for sale at the store. Q - Does the camp have hot water for showers? A - Yes, ample hot water is available.. Q - Are rooms air conditioned? A - No, it is not needed; the temperatures are naturally quite pleasant throughout the summer. Q - Are there many insects? A - No, practically no gnats, mosquitos, or other biting insects. Q - Where should we stop to eat on Sunday the day we come to camp? A - Lewisburg, WV , Princeton, WV, and Covington, VA each have several places. Rich Creek, VA., Peterstown, WV and Union, WV each have two or three. Q - Why does Psalm 23 Camp sponsor workcamps? A - An important part of Christians witness is service to others.
