Recreational Activities

The Psalm 23 Camp environment provides for some structured recreational activities for campers, plus facilities and equipment to enjoy in their free time. Weather permitting the campers participate in farm olympics Monday evening for a time of fun filled competition. Hayrides are usually available one evening also. Listed below are some other informal activities campers may choose.

  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Table Tennis
  • Fooseball
  • Hiking
  • Campfires

Although the week-long stay during summer months at Psalm 23 is designed as a work mission opportunity, Friday of each week is set aside as a time for groups to enjoy some special activity in the vicinity. This all-day activity can be anything the group chooses to do on their own. While whitewater rafting on the New River is the favorite activity for groups that visit Psalm 23 Camp, several other choices are available as shown on the menu to the left.
