Land of the Enslaved, Home of the Timid.

July 3, 2005. On this eve of Independence Day, I pause to thank God for His grace and for our founding fathers who began this country. But I am also aware of a reality check most Americans have apparently failed to make. We talk about our great country and the freedom to worship as we please. WRONG, try expressing your Christian beliefs in a public school, saying a prayer at a government run high school football game or erecting a Christian symbol in the county court house.

Taxation without representation was an issue with the colonists prior to their declaration of independence from the king of England, yet Americans now have about 40 percent of their wages confiscated by our federal, state and local governments without much more than a whimper from "we the people".

How much freedom do you really have when the government takes land from one individual and lets a big money developer have it because the new owner will generate more tax revenue? Do you really have a lot of freedom when the government tells you how much water you can have in your toilet?....think about it. Do you really have a representative in government that will keep your money from funding organizations like the National Endowment of Arts and Planned Parenthood? Among the hundreds of state and federal lawmakers, name a half dozen who are working diligently to protect our border with Mexico from the invasion of illegal immigrants. While illegals by the millions cross the borders each year without jail time or deportation, why don't you try to board an airplane with a finger nail file and see how quickly you get shaken down and put on the potential terrorist list. We are more free than the people of many countries, but we are much like the frog in the kettle with the rising water temperature. At the rate we are going we will be cooked in the pot before we gather our senses quick enough to jump out........yes my friend we think we are the land of the free and the home of the brave, but that is fast becoming a memory rather than fact........and that's............
