Between A Rock and A Hard Place

January 8, 2005. Well the Bush Administration/Republican Party has done it again; betrayed the very people who were most responsible for placing and keeping them in political power. Kid Rock, a potty mouthed rock-rapper, is to perform at a youth concert at the presidential inauguration later this month. He was voted the Sluttiest Male Celebrity at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. What an example for our nation's children, and how wonderful to have him perform at a youth concert at an inauguration of the president of the United States of America. Please, Mr. Bush, and all you Republicans who advise him, GIVE US A BREAK!

I understand that the inaugural festivities are being financed by private donations rather than taxpayer funds, but that does not make the Bush Administration any less responsible. I also think there are some high-profile Christian ministers such as Jerry Falwell who are all too eager to back the present administration and the Republican party in general. Frankly, I think the party is leading our nation in the same direction as the Democrats did for forty years...they are just doing it at a slower pace. There is a third party, The Constitution Party who's platform is unabashedly Christian. However, mainstream Christian leaders choose to support the Republican Party. It's as if God Himself has declared that there can only be two viable parties in America's political system. Anyway, I think most Christian leaders are too self-centered and too aligned with a secular worldview rather than a Christian worldview to understand the need to do what is right as opposed to what is politically expedient ............and that's......
